Internet that works in a field, not just a venue

Most venues have fixed broadband. Festivals and outdoor events do not. Whether you are running a 500-person country fair or a 20,000-attendee music festival, the internet challenge is the same: no fixed line, unpredictable demand, card machines that cannot fail, and vendors who need connectivity from the moment gates open.

Click Telecom deploys bonded 5G/LTE and LEO satellite internet to outdoor event sites across the UK. We design the network around your site map, your vendor layout and your production requirements, then install it before your event opens and manage it throughout.

  • Bonded 5G/LTE with automatic carrier failover
  • LEO satellite for remote sites with no mobile signal
  • Separate VLANs for card machines, production and public WiFi
  • Branded captive portal with data capture for public access
  • On-site engineer available throughout your event
  • Deployed UK-wide including rural and remote locations

The problems we solve at every event

These are the most common connectivity failures at festivals and outdoor events. We have built our service around solving every one of them.

Card machines going offline

Payment terminals are the highest-priority connection at any event. We run card machines on a dedicated VLAN with a separate bonded connection so a public WiFi spike never affects your revenue.

No mobile signal in the field

Rural festival sites often have poor or no 4G/5G coverage. We use LEO satellite and point-to-point microwave links to bring full internet connectivity to any field in the UK.

Network crash when gates open

Thousands of attendees connecting at the same time overwhelms a single connection. Our bonded multi-carrier setup distributes load across multiple networks so peak arrival never causes a crash.

Live streaming and production

Broadcast teams and live streaming require guaranteed upload bandwidth. We provision dedicated circuits for production that are completely isolated from general attendee access.

Food and drink vendors

Vendors need their own reliable connection for card payments and stock management. We provide individual vendor connections or a shared vendor VLAN that is completely separate from public WiFi.

Site-wide coverage gaps

Large outdoor sites have dead zones where signal does not reach. We survey your site plan and deploy a mesh of access points and point-to-point links to ensure every corner of the site has coverage.

How much internet does your event need?

Every event is different. Here is a rough guide to help you understand what is involved. We will always survey your specific requirements before recommending a solution.

Event size Typical bandwidth Infrastructure Card machines
Up to 500 attendees 50 to 100Mbps 1 to 2 bonded 5G units Shared VLAN
500 to 2,000 attendees 100 to 200Mbps 2 to 4 bonded units + mesh APs Dedicated VLAN
2,000 to 10,000 200 to 500Mbps Multi-unit bonded + satellite Dedicated circuit
10,000+ 500Mbps to 1Gbps+ Full infrastructure survey required Dedicated circuit + failover

What our customers say

Frequently asked questions

How much does festival WiFi cost in the UK?

Festival WiFi costs vary depending on the size of your event, the number of access points required and whether you need an on-site engineer. Small events from 500 attendees typically start from a few hundred pounds. Larger events requiring full site coverage and dedicated card machine circuits will be priced on a bespoke basis. Contact us for a free quote based on your specific event.

Can you provide internet in a field with no mobile signal?

Yes. For sites with poor or no 4G/5G coverage, we use LEO satellite internet (including Starlink) combined with point-to-point microwave links to bring connectivity to any location in the UK. We will survey your site in advance to confirm the best approach.

How do you ensure card machines do not go offline at the event?

Card machines are placed on a completely separate VLAN with their own dedicated bonded connection. This means a spike in public WiFi usage, a live stream or any other network event cannot affect payment terminals. We also configure automatic failover between carriers so if one network drops, the card machines switch instantly to a backup.

Do you provide on-site engineers at festivals?

Yes. We offer on-site engineer support throughout your event. Your engineer will set up the infrastructure before gates open, monitor the network during the event and resolve any issues immediately. Remote monitoring and support is also available for events where a full on-site presence is not required.

How far in advance do I need to book festival WiFi?

For large events we recommend booking at least four to six weeks in advance to allow time for a site survey, equipment preparation and logistics. For smaller events we can often turn around a solution in a few days. Contact us as early as possible and we will confirm availability.

Can you provide internet for a one-day event or country fair?

Yes. We cater for events of all durations, from single-day country fairs and village shows to week-long festivals. Equipment is delivered, installed and collected by our team so there is no burden on your side.
