We can bond virtually any combination of connection types: FTTP fibre, FTTC broadband, ADSL, 5G, 4G/LTE, LEO satellite (Starlink), fixed wireless and leased lines. The specific combination depends on what is available at your location and your bandwidth and resilience requirements.
How does failover work?
The bonding router continuously monitors the health and performance of every connected WAN link. If one connection drops or degrades below a threshold, traffic is automatically redistributed across the remaining active links. This happens at the packet level with sub-second switchover, so there is no interruption to your applications or VoIP calls.
Is the combined speed of all connections available?
Yes. Unlike a simple failover setup where only one connection is active at a time, our hybrid bonding aggregates the bandwidth of all active connections simultaneously. If you have a 100Mbps fibre line and two 150Mbps 5G connections, your usable bandwidth is approximately 400Mbps.
How quickly can a hybrid connection be deployed?
If the individual connections are already available at your site (or can be provisioned quickly, such as 5G and 4G), we can typically have a hybrid solution live within 48 hours. If a new fibre line needs to be ordered, we deploy the cellular components first so you have connectivity immediately, then add the fibre when it is ready.
Do I get a static IP address?
Yes. Every hybrid internet connection from Click Telecom includes a static IP address as standard. This is routed through our bonding infrastructure so it remains consistent regardless of which underlying WAN link is carrying the traffic.
