WiFi designed around how your venue is actually used

A venue network has to do more than provide a signal in the reception area. Guests may need WiFi, staff depend on cloud systems, bars and tills require connectivity, and conferences or exhibitions can suddenly bring hundreds or thousands of additional devices into the building.

Click Telecom designs managed venue connectivity around the building, existing infrastructure and the different ways the space is used. That can mean improving an existing network, extending good fibre across the venue, separating critical systems from guest traffic or adding temporary capacity for particularly demanding events.

WiFi and internet for every kind of venue

The right design depends on the building, visitor numbers, event programme and operational systems that need connectivity.

Conference & Meeting Venues

Managed connectivity for delegates, speakers, meeting rooms, hybrid events, staff and AV teams.

Exhibition & Event Spaces

Networks for exhibitors, organisers, ticketing, payments, visitors and temporary production requirements.

Hotels & Hospitality Venues

Guest and event connectivity alongside operational requirements such as staff systems, EPOS and conferencing.

Wedding & Private Event Venues

Reliable connectivity for guests, suppliers, payments, entertainment and event teams across indoor and outdoor areas.

Sports & Entertainment Venues

Scalable connectivity for spectators, hospitality, vendors, media, ticketing and operational teams.

Visitor Attractions & Multi-Use Spaces

Flexible managed networks for locations that support everyday visitors alongside conferences, functions and special events.

One venue. Several different networks.

Putting every device onto one shared WiFi network is rarely the best design for a busy professional venue. Different users and systems can have very different requirements.

We can separate access for staff, guests, payments, exhibitors and production teams, helping keep business-critical services from simply competing with unrestricted visitor traffic.

Existing Infrastructure

Already have fibre? We can build around it.

A venue does not necessarily need a completely new internet service. Where an existing fibre or dedicated connection is suitable, we can integrate it into the managed network and improve how that capacity is distributed around the venue.

Additional 4G/5G, satellite or wireless connectivity can then be added where the venue needs extra capacity, resilience or coverage.

  • Assess existing internet capacity
  • Review WiFi coverage and access-point placement
  • Extend coverage into weak or new areas
  • Separate guest and operational traffic
  • Add secondary connectivity where resilience is required
  • Scale temporarily for major events

Event capacity boost

Need extra capacity for a major event?

A venue's everyday network may be perfectly suitable most of the year but still need additional connectivity for a large conference, exhibition, festival or high-density event. We can supplement the venue network temporarily rather than permanently over-sizing it.

The connectivity behind the venue network

We select the most suitable connectivity mix around the venue rather than forcing every location onto the same technology.

Existing Fibre

Use suitable existing fibre or dedicated internet as the primary connection and distribute it effectively around the venue.

4G & 5G

Commercial mobile connectivity can add capacity, provide rapid deployment or serve areas where fixed infrastructure is unsuitable.

LEO Satellite

Satellite connectivity can support venues where suitable fixed or mobile infrastructure is limited, subject to site conditions.

Hybrid Connectivity

Multiple connectivity sources can be combined where additional capacity or resilience is required.

How we design a venue network

We start with the venue and its requirements, not with a pre-packaged router.

01

Assess

Understand the venue, current connectivity, recurring events and critical systems.

02

Survey

Assess coverage, infrastructure, user density and the areas where connectivity matters most.

03

Design

Plan connectivity, access points, separate networks and resilience around the venue.

04

Deploy

Install, configure and test the network before handover.

05

Manage & Scale

Provide ongoing support and add temporary capacity when larger events require it.

More than simply providing a WiFi password

A managed venue network is designed around capacity, coverage, user groups and critical applications rather than assuming one shared connection is suitable for every requirement.

Venue WiFi: frequently asked questions

What is managed venue WiFi?

Managed venue WiFi is a professionally designed and supported network built around the needs of the venue rather than a single consumer router or access point. It can support separate networks for staff, guests, payments, exhibitors and production teams, with connectivity, coverage and capacity designed around how the venue is actually used.

Can you improve the WiFi in an existing venue?

Yes. We can assess the connectivity and wireless infrastructure already in place and identify where additional capacity, coverage or resilience may be required. Where suitable fibre or dedicated internet already exists, we can integrate it into the venue network rather than replacing it unnecessarily.

Can venue WiFi support conferences and exhibitions?

Yes. Venue networks can be designed to support conferences, exhibitions, meetings and other events, including attendee WiFi, exhibitor connectivity, payment systems, ticketing, production teams and live streaming. Capacity can also be increased temporarily for particularly large or demanding events.

Can you create separate WiFi networks for staff and guests?

Yes. Separate networks can be created for different users and applications, including staff, guests, payments, exhibitors, production teams and event organisers. This allows access and traffic to be managed more appropriately than placing every device on one shared network.

Can venue WiFi support card payments and EPOS?

Yes. Card payments and EPOS systems can be provided with separate or prioritised connectivity so they are not simply competing with guest WiFi, streaming or other high-bandwidth activity. The appropriate configuration depends on the venue and payment setup.

Can you provide guest WiFi for visitors?

Yes. We can provide guest WiFi for visitors and attendees, including branded splash or captive portal options where required. Guest access can be separated from staff, operational and payment networks.

What happens when a venue hosts a particularly large event?

The venue network can be assessed against the expected event demand. Where additional capacity or coverage is needed, temporary 4G/5G, satellite, wireless or additional access-point infrastructure can be added for the event rather than permanently over-sizing the everyday venue network.

Can you provide backup internet for a venue?

Yes. Additional connectivity sources can be added where resilience is required, reducing reliance on a single fixed connection. The appropriate setup depends on the venue, critical applications and the level of continuity required.

Do you provide WiFi for indoor and outdoor venue areas?

Yes. Coverage can be designed around the areas that need connectivity, including conference rooms, exhibition halls, bars, reception areas, terraces, outdoor event spaces and temporary structures. Site conditions and expected user density are assessed before the network is designed.

Do you provide venue WiFi across the UK?

Yes. Click Telecom provides managed venue connectivity across the UK. The recommended design depends on the venue layout, existing infrastructure, available connectivity and how the venue is used.

Request a venue connectivity assessment

Tell us about your venue, current internet connection and the types of events or systems the network needs to support. We can assess the existing setup and recommend where additional coverage, capacity or resilience may be useful.

Not sure what your venue already has? That is fine — we can assess the existing setup first and recommend only what is actually needed.
